Richard Casey is a partner at Robinson and Casey, PLLC, a law firm dedicated to helping families with loved ones suffering from substance abuse and mental health concerns access treatment. He has been admitted to practice law in Florida since 2018 and in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida since 2019.
Richard is dedicated to using the law, his business background, and government advocacy to help his clients improve the quality of life for themselves and their family. He focuses his efforts leading the firm as we expand services to families throughout the State of Florida and the Nation while ensuring a consistent, high quality, concierge legal experience for each of the firm’s clients. Richard hopes to assist families nationally and internationally to solve the persistent concerns of alcoholism, addiction, and mental illness, by using the Marchman Act to help families access lifesaving drug and alcohol treatment and Guardianships to protect those with mental health disorders receive the proper care and attention to their disorder.
Before becoming a Partner at Robinson and Casey, PLLC, Richard ran a solo practice for almost 2 years and previously worked at Caron of Florida for 4 years. As often occurs, his role evolved through the years and Richard primarily focused on guiding the organization through a changing regulatory environment, analyzing and improving its clinical and business operations, and advocating for more effective government accountability in the industry. Richard Casey was a member of the Palm Beach County Sober Home Task Force 2017, and he continues to advocate for greater oversight and improved access to substance use and behavioral health treatments.
Richard has also been active as an alumnus and Member of the Board of Trustees for Caron Treatment Centers, first walking through the doors of Caron on December 8, 2014, and having never looked back. Richard is eternally grateful for the opportunity Caron provided him and his family over the years and he will be forever drawn to actively support patients and alumni, as he continues to do years later. Richard enjoys every opportunity to lend a hand to Caron patients and alumni, develop fellowship, supporting those struggling, and forever encouraging the benefits of giving back.
